Saint John Chrysostom, famous orator and Archbishop of Constantinople, faced persecution and banishment due to his bold advocacy for Christian truth and reform. In spite of severe hardships, such as being exiled to distant areas and enduring cold and animosity, he stayed resolute in his faith and pastoral responsibilities. He passed away in exile in 407, and many years later his relics were venerated in Constantinople, reinforcing his enduring legacy as an exemplar of holiness and bravery.
