"In the Rajah's Emerald" was first published in Red Magazine (UK) in July 1926, and later included in the collection of stories The Listerdale Mystery in 1934. This story is akin to a fairy tale like "He who laughs last". Short and somewhat naive, "In the Rajah's Emerald" is a fun read! James Bond (the name made me smile - Agatha Christie wrote this story almost 30 years before Ian Fleming published his first spy novel) visits a beautiful seaside tourist spot, where an interesting adventure unfolds.
